Press Release - Lost Orchards Release Low Alcohol Cider in Time for Christmas
Lost Orchards, producers of Award Winning Scottish Pure Apple cider have recently launched a low alcohol cider. Carefully selected and hand picked ‘Katy’ and ‘Red Windsor’ apples are harvested and processed on site to ensure quality and flavour.
Created in the midst of the berry fruit fields of Angus, the apples are carefully washed, pressed and processed. Lost Orchards use champagne yeast to ferment the freshly squeezed juice and then store the liquid in stainless steel pods and leave to rest and ferment until the optimum flavour is reached. Never rushed, perfect every time.
Lost Orchards Low Alcohol Scottish Pure Apple cider (0.5% ABV) is a light refreshing cider created with a blend of sweet Katy and Red Windsor apples to provide a crisp balanced clean apple finish.
We want you to taste every apple we put into our cider that’s why we recommend serving chilled without ice.
Available in 330ml bottle from a fast growing number of bars and off licences across Scotland and wholesalers: Huffmans, Matthew Clark, Dunns and Inverarity Morton.
Notes to Editors
The Lost Orchards business was born from a collective vision to use the apples from the orchards on the farm, to create a premium Scottish cider and it also appealed to the joint founders, Andrew Husband and Angus Morrison's vision of replanting orchards which have been disappearing throughout Scotland over the last century – to date they have already planted 5000 trees.
Other cider flavours by Lost Orchards include:
Pure Scottish Apple 4.5% - Gold Medal Winner at International Cider Awards 2019 for ‘Modern Cider’
Scottish Dark Berries 4.0%
Scottish Red Berries and Lime 4.0%
